Monte León National Park:
In the park there are 47 species of birds, 14 of mammals, 4 of reptiles, 8 of fish and many invertebrates.

Cerro León:
At the foot of León Hill is a rookery of southern sea lions, which come from the rookery near Pico Quebrado, where there about 100 adults and pups.

Penguin rookery:
A few meters from the hill, far from a short trekking, this rookery has about 60.000 pairs of penguins.

An ideal place for photo safaris, Monte León offers a chance to see a wide variety of flora and fauna.

Estancia Monte León

Located off National Route 3 south of the town of Puerto Santa Cruz, the Monte León Inn is a treasure of Patagonian nature and a convenient place to stop off along the road.

Its 40 km of coast and back country harbor many species of birds, mammals, reptiles and fish, and an enormous number of invertebrates.

Blue-eyed cormorants, gulls and terns nest in the Monte León National Park. There are also two penguin rookeries and a large sea lion rookery.
