| Excursion to Cape Vírgenes: A tour of
the penguin rookery, 15 km from the main house, is followed by a 15-minute hike to the
lighthouse. The 47.2-hectare rookery, one of the biggest in Latin America, is the nesting
ground of 180,000 Magellanic penguins which arrive at the end of September to brood, and
leave with their chicks at the end of April. Horseback ride to Dinero Hill: From the
top of the hill we have a panoramic view of the Strait of Magellan and Tierra del Fuego.

Beside the lighthouse at Cape Vírgenes is the ranch’s Al fin y al Cabo tea house,
where you can enjoy a choice view out over the Strait of Magellan while savoring delicious
