| The ranch occupies a privileged location
stretching from the foot of Mount Torre to Mount Fitz Roy in Los Glaciares National Park
in the province of Santa Cruz. Access is by Route 23 and a turnoff 2 km short of El
Chaltén. House guests are attended by the owners,
members of the only pioneer family with uninterrupted residence in the area during the
past century.
While it still
looks like it did in the old days, the main house has been refurbished to make it
comfortable for guests who want to rest, enjoy nature in imposing landscapes, have a bit
of adventure, and find out about local history. |

| There are numerous
hiking trails of all degrees of difficulty from which to choose when it’s time to
explore. The Mount Torre glacier, the lookout point facing mounts Torre and Fitz Roy, the
Capri Lagoon and the Blanco River are just some of the places that can be reached on easy,
medium-difficulty or very difficult paths. Hikers will be able to contemplate the
majesty of the Andes, perpetual snows surrounded by masses of ice, glacial valleys, fossil
beds, rushing streams and the boundless beauty of the sub-Antarctic forests.
