Activities and Excursions

Fishing:
The Cabo San Pablo and Ladrillero rivers abound in brown and rainbow trout.
There are day excursions to Quemada Bay and the beaver dams of the San Pablo River valley.

Overlanding excursions:
Ushuaia: The southernmost city in the world and its historic prison, Tierra del Fuego National Park and the Beagle Channel.

Lake Yehuin and the lake lookout point: One of the most spectacular views in Tierra del Fuego: from the top of a hill behind Lake Yehuin you see Lake Fagnano, beech forests and the Andes.

San Sebastián Bay: In the north of the island, where the landscape changes completely, becoming a steppe, Jules Popper panned for gold in a bleak, windswept place called El Páramo (wilderness) in the 19th century. The Cullen ranch is the site of an oil operation.

Harberton Ranch: This first European outpost on the island of Tierra del Fuego, founded in 1886 by the Rev. Thomas Bridges, is still in the family. Tourists can visit its main house, which has a museum.

Policarpo Ranch:
Six-day horseback ride along the Mitre Peninsula on the Atlantic coast, a famous ship graveyard that includes the remains of the Duchess of Albany, whose figurehead is on display in the End of the World Mueum in Ushuaia. Riders reach the main house of the old Policarpo Ranch, crossing on the way the mouths of the Irigoyen, Leticia and Policarpo rivers. For expert riders only, it is truly an unforgettable experience.

Cordeu:
The extraordinary landscapes of this property with remains of ancient Indian settlements, which belongs to the San Pablo ranch, can be reached during a three-day horseback ride, or in a 4WD.
